Ashley Rose started CheekyBottomz as a passion project. As a single mother living in a rural town in Humboldt County, she was tired of sifting through a scarce supply of local styles for something comfortable and flattering. And with a lack of custom clothing on the market, online shopping just wasn’t hitting the mark. There had to be something better! An artist at heart and DIY savant, Ashley decided she would take things into her own hands, literally. After a friend and avid sewer gifted her some fabric, she got busy designing her own unique creations. With a single sewing machine and a newfound hobby, she perfected her seamless reversible bottoms for herself and friends to rock during leisurely river outings, twirling at dance festivals, and lounging around the house. Soon, her community caught wind of her craft and the compliments were endless. Ashley knew she had something special. It wasn’t long before a hobby transformed into a thriving small business aimed at making people of all body types feel sleek and sexy in a durable custom piece made just for them, from swim to gym.

Since Ashley decided to pursue handcrafted seamless reversible sets and activewear in 2017, her business has flourished into something she could’ve never predicted. The outpouring of support and growing fanbase of loyal customers motivated CheekyBottomz to expand and offer a variety of styles and sizes as well as biodegradable, recycled and organic fabrics. Each piece is tailored to her customer’s unique needs and body type. From functional and aesthetic activewear to galactic get-ups and earthy ensembles, each one of a kind piece is designed to make you feel dolled up and positively cheeky.
